For the last 25 years, I have worked as a therapist at a variety of settings, working with adults, teens, and families in outpatient mental health clinics and a residential treatment center. In 2006, I was trained in Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) by Marsha Linehan, the founder of DBT treatment. Since then, I have led weekly DBT groups in addition to working with adults individually. Three years ago, I started my private practice: New Directions DBT. I specialize in helping people with a variety of issues, including depression, anxiety, trauma, BPD and other disorders, providing individual therapy and DBT groups.
My passion is to empower people, reduce their suffering, and help them find their strengths to lead more fulfilling lives. I enjoy helping people realize their patterns, learn mindfulness and emotion regulation skills, develop healthy coping skills, and improve their quality of life. I have assisted and witnessed many individuals improve their lives through our work together. I look forward to meeting you.
